What happens when you combine vintage technology with modern, short-form video storytelling? We found out with The Retro Roadshow. We are thrilled to share a series of videos for The Retro Roadshow, the San Francisco Bay Area’s premier pop-up museum of vintage technology. This project represents a culmination of new skills and creative approaches we’ve been developing with Sarai and Huxley Dunsany.
The Retro Roadshow Video Series
The addition is a dynamic short-form video series we produced for The Retro Roadshow over the past few months.
- Project Scope: Our goal was to introduce The Retro Roadshow as a pop-up museum and exhibition series in the San Francisco Bay Area. We wanted to discuss their early beginnings and new opportunities to showcase their work in festivals like the Bay Area’s Maker Faire in 2024
- Full Circle’s Role: Jason Cayabyab served as the Video Producer, Director, Videographer, and Post-Production Editor for this short-form documentary series.
- Key Learnings: We utilized new techniques in filming interviews in tight locations, on-the-go interviews during events, and effective editing to deliver powerful messages, allowing us to elevate the final output. With the help of these series of videos for The Retro Roadshow, they were able to showcase the videos for Makers Faire 2024, which led to receiving a Maker Faire Editor Choice Blue Ribbon and featured on Marketplace from PRX&NPR
This work really shows off our skills in crafting compelling stories, delivering top-notch visuals during hectic events, and creating personalized video series to highlight their amazing work for their community.
